Argentina Space brings internationally recognised Argentine figures to Salta to drive the country's take-off in the new space economy

Argentina will bring to Salta some of the most relevant Argentine figures linked to space exploration, science, technological innovation, astrobiology, aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence and the new space economy. It will happen within the framework of Argentina Space, an event designed to position the country in one of the most strategic sectors of the 21st century and to open a concrete agenda between scientists, business leaders, investors, universities, governments and productive sectors.

The presence of Pablo de León, Pamela Such, Noel de Castro, Marcos Bruno, David Guajardo and Alejandro Paretto confirms a central decision: Argentina Space is not simply calling for speakers, it is calling on figures capable of building a national conversation. The goal is to bring together talent, knowledge, international experience, technological vision and the capacity to coordinate so that Argentina can take its place in the new space economy.

Space has stopped being a distant or purely scientific frontier. Today it has an impact on telecommunications, defence, agribusiness, mining, energy, the environment, logistics, satellite navigation, artificial intelligence, data science, critical infrastructure and new business models. In that scenario, the countries that manage to align knowledge, investment and industry will be better prepared to compete in the economy to come.

Pablo de León will be one of the central voices at Argentina Space. An Argentine aerospace engineer, professor and director of the Department of Space Studies at the University of North Dakota, he is an international reference in crewed flight, extravehicular activity, spacesuit design, habitability and planetary exploration. With more than three decades of experience across Argentina and the United States, and work as a researcher on NASA-funded programs, his presence brings technical excellence, academic authority and a strategic view of the challenges of human space exploration.

Pamela Such represents one of the most decisive areas for the future of space exploration: planetary geology, space resources and astrobiology. A PhD in Geology from Universidad Nacional de Tucumán and affiliated with the SETI Institute, her work connects science, exploration, resources and life beyond Earth. Her participation in Argentina Space will be key to understanding how Argentine knowledge can enter global discussions on extreme environments, planetary research and new scientific and productive opportunities.

Noel de Castro embodies one of the most powerful stories in this agenda: she is the first Argentine woman aspiring to travel to space under the national flag. A biomedical engineer from Salta, trained in the aerospace field and publicly recognised as an Argentine astronaut candidate for an international mission, Noel expresses the symbolic and strategic value of Argentina Space: a woman from northern Argentina projecting the country towards a new frontier. Her presence not only inspires; it also proves that Argentine talent from across the provinces can lead a global conversation.

Marcos Bruno will bring the perspective of applied innovation, data science and entrepreneurial technology. A mechatronics engineer from Mendoza, co-founder and CTO of Merovingian Data, he has been recognised as a young innovator and has taken part in analogue space missions involving suit testing and lunar and Martian exploration simulations. His profile shows that the space economy is not limited to rockets or satellites: it also includes artificial intelligence, data, automation, sensors, software and concrete solutions for companies, industries and governments.

David Guajardo will add a strategic view of the transformation of the space industry and the opportunities opening up for Latin America in an increasingly dynamic market. His participation will make it possible to address the role of the private sector, investment, international cooperation and new models of coordination between companies, science, technology and development.

Alejandro Paretto joins this speaker line-up bringing his perspective to the debate on the place Argentina can occupy in the new space economy. His participation adds to a conversation that seeks to turn talent, knowledge and initiative into a concrete platform for development, investment and international reach.

The importance of these speakers lies in the fact that each one represents a different entry point to the same phenomenon: space as an engine of economic, technological, scientific and industrial development. Argentina Space proposes looking at this agenda not as a distant aspiration, but as a present opportunity to generate skilled employment, attract investment, spread knowledge across the country, strengthen productive capabilities and project Argentina to the world.

Salta will be the stage for that starting point. From northern Argentina, Argentina Space puts forward a clear statement: the future can also be built from the provinces, with a federal, strategic outlook connected to the world.

Argentina has history, scientific talent, universities, companies, researchers, entrepreneurs and technical capabilities. The challenge is to bring those assets together into a common agenda. That is why Argentina Space is calling on top-level figures: because for the country to take off, we first have to gather those who are already thinking, researching, designing and building the future.

Argentina Space will bring together the best to set a national agenda. An agenda where science, industry, investment and innovation meet so that Argentina can take off in the new space economy.
